Byram 2013 Municipal Elections

The filing deadline for running for municipal office in Byram, MS is in March. I've only been made aware of a few candidates to this point. Every person who currently holds office should be voted out; that includes the "mayor" and the five "aldermen." They were all illegally "serving" for about a dozen years as an "interim" government. They were foisted upon us in 2009 by a then-governor, and the "mayor" was installed illegally, as he does NOT live in our city. (See the Mississippi Constitution and the Mississippi Code.) They have lied to us, and sought their own purposes. They all said that once Byram was incorporated, then they did not want to be the real government, but when the city incorporated, they happily accepted their ungodly appointments. In May and June 2013 (the Primaries and the General Election, respectively), we have the opportunity to elect a city government for the first time since the June 2009 incorporation. The only incumbent I have seen who is running so far is Teresa Marble. She should definitely be voted out. And if that fire chief decides to run, then he doesn't need to be in there, either. If you are a Christ follower and you feel called into politics, then please pray about whether you should run for alderman or mayor. We need you!
